For me, I need to have a quiet space without distractions in order to get into my writing. Once the decks are cleared I can focus better. Getting a little inspiration at first is a good idea – I start by looking into research on the topic I am writing about. From there I’ll just free flow with my writing, let the thoughts come and then I’ll revisit and edit.
